The shipments of products that are critical to everyday life are in jeopardy unless Congress extends the deadline for Positive Train Control (PTC). Should Congress fail to act before the end of the year, the shipments of these products by rail could be brought to a standstill. Even allowing the deadline to approach could be very damaging as companies make long-term transportation plans.
Congress must act now to extend the deadline!

Urge Your Elected Officials To Support TSCA Reform – Now!
Bi-partisan legislation (S.697 and H.R. 2576) is expected to be voted on in the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate in the coming weeks. This legislation would comprehensively update the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) for the first time since 1976. This legislation is long overdue. It creates a cohesive, effective, national chemical management system that will give consumers, manufacturers, public health activists, and regulators confidence that chemicals in commerce are safe.
Congress must act to pass this legislation.
